2024 Sport Summit

The Sport Summit is an event offered twice a year (spring and fall) that brings together sport administrators, coaches, and volunteers from across all sports in New Brunswick.  

This is an opportunity to discuss current topics in the sector, learn from others, and ensure leaders in our field have the knowledge and the tools to provide quality sport experiences to all New Brunswickers. 

This two-day event will include professional development opportunities, workshops, and engagement sessions. 

Mark your calendars and make sure your organization is represented on November 21st and 22nd for this year’s Summit at The Kingswood Lodge in Fredericton.    

15th annual KidSport charity golf tournament

On August 15^th, 2024, the 15^th annual KidSport charity golf tournament presented by Phoenix Petroleum LTD will take place at the Kingswood Golf Club. We are thrilled to extend an invitation to all local businesses and valued community partners to participate in this event that promises to be memorable. Register a team and see who in your office has the best swing!  

If playing is not your thing, consider becoming a sponsor. Our extensive sponsorship packet includes multiple sponsorship options. Your crucial contribution will help families in your community register their children for a season of sport. Help KidSport get more kids off of the sidelines and into the game!

KidSport Events

Envisioning sport moves forward: Special General Meeting

Envisioning Sport moves forward! A Special General Meeting of Sport New Brunswick will take place by Microsoft Teams on February 22, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. To register click the button below.

True Sport Week is taking place from February 12 to 18, 2024. This Canada-wide initiative will use social media to unite sport communities across the country and celebrate values-based sport by activating the True Sport Principles. You’re invited to take part in this online celebration to showcase your commitment to True Sport and your creativity.

Every day of True Sport Week, the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport will highlight a different True Sport Principle on our social media channels (@TrueSportpur). We invite everyone in the sport community to take part in this online celebration. To join in, share a photo, video, or story on your preferred social media platform (Instagram, Facebook, or X) showing how you embody all seven of the principles. Please tag @TrueSportpur, use #TrueSportWeek, and include the hashtag of the day for the chance to win a True Sport prize!

Women on Boards workshop

Interested in learning about successfully engaging women on your board? Join She is Active NB when we host the Canadian Women and Sport Women on Boards workshop! In this workshop, participants will learn why having women on boards is important, how to create an inclusive board culture, and strategies to recruit women and overcome challenges. 

This virtual workshop is scheduled for January 21, 2024 from 7:00-8:00 PM. Delivery will be primarily in English, but French slides will be provided. 

All PSOs, MSOs, and local clubs are welcome to attend, so please share with your networks
